Your Skills
Required Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in an appropriate discipline (Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Industrial Automation, etc.).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality management, including 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment, ideally with products similar to truck boxes.
- Understanding of schematics and/or technical drawings, and proficiency in using quality measurement equipment and tools.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail.
- Positive leadership expertise.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written.
- Essential bilingualism in French and English, both spoken and written.
- Ability and availability for occasional travel to other Morgan sites for training or continuous improvement events, or on the PVA.
Your challenge
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Ensure that our products meet or exceed the quality requirements of the company and our clients.
- Work with clients to understand their expectations and deliver complex and/or large quantity orders.
- Communicate and implement Morgan Transit’s core PVA strategies (engaged workforce, direct flow, one-piece flow, tools and strategies to reduce cycle time variation).
- Ensure quality standards in raw materials and manufactured products.
- Define testing procedures for quality inspections.
- Coach and mentor members of the quality team.
- Resolve issues related to warranty claims.
- Collect and analyze data and communicate the performance results of the plant's quality systems.
- Capture quality test results and present them to management.
- Develop and revise quality and work standards.
- Conduct internal audits and implement corrective measures.
- Visit departments to ensure consistency in various assemblies.
- Introduce preventive measures to minimize the risk of defects.
- Communicate the results of client and internal audits to Morgan Transit stakeholders.
- Test new standards for quality consistency in the plant.
- Organize problem-solving activities in the plant.
- Provide training on quality practices and standards in the plant as needed.
